In the heart of the cultural center of Haifa, nestled between the playhouse theatres and the Cinematheque on the one side and a pleasant green garden (the Manya Shochat Park) on the other, there is a charming place full of multifaceted, enriching and entertaining culture – Beit Hecht (Hecht House). Throughout the day you can find throngs of various age groups, both young and old, involved in musical lessons, in movement exercises or in varied and fascinating educational activities that suit each and every participant: Recreational activities, concerts, exhibitions, lectures, independent theatre, workshops and sports activities.

The old Hecht House building (built in 1893 by the Templers) radiates a warm, down home atmosphere and invites those passing through its portals to break with routine kindergarten or school activities, to disconnect from the various flat and touch screens, to take a time out from the din and hubbub of modern life and invest some valuable quality time in the most important resource – the members of your family.

Precisely to this end, the structure was renovated and adapted, by the Hecht Foundation, to host a plethora of recreational activities and unique cultural pursuits, not to be found anywhere else in Haifa. The central location of the building and convenient access to it position Hecht House as a place to grow up in, a place to learn and a place to just hang out in.

Call Christina, our Recreational activities Coordinator, right now to confer with her and she will recommend and guide you to the appropriate activities for you and for your children. Tel: (04) 835-3514.
